COMMUNICATION ACCESSIBLE VERSIONS
This project aims to develop evidence-based tools to assist people living with cognitive impairment/dementia in aged care to drive inclusivity in self-reporting by older people as part of the National Mandatory Quality Indicator Program. Recommended by the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety, it will allow Aged Care providers to include people with dementia themselves when assessing their quality of their care. Expected outcomes include accessible communication versions of the QOL-ACC and the QCE-ACC.
The research will:
-
Determine accessible-communication techniques which best support data collection from those with mild or moderate cognitive-communication impairment/dementia
-
Develop accessible-communication versions of the QOL-ACC and QCE-ACC in partnership with people living with cognitive-communication impairment/dementia
-
Test the validity and reliability of the accessible-communication versions of the QOL-ACC and QCE-ACC
